Step One

Schedule a Free 15-Minute Video Consultation

Finding the right therapist for you is an important step, which is why I offer a free 15-minute video consultation to answer any questions. Appointments can be booked directly online.

Step Two

Your Intake Appointment

Before your first session, you’ll complete some short documentation, including some forms about what what to expect, clinic policies, consent forms and a questionnaire. The questionnaires help us get some background information and a baseline of your symptoms. You are welcome to share as much or as little as you’d like.

Step Three

Your Therapy Journey

Therapy typically begins with weekly sessions for the first few weeks and then we can adjust the frequency as needed. We’ll work together to develop strategies and explore solutions that align with your goals and values.

Just like in airplane safety, you need to put on your own oxygen mask before helping others. Therapy is an investment in yourself, ensuring you have the strength to support those around you.

Many insurance plans offer reimbursement for therapy costs, making it more accessible for those in need. To simplify the process of accessing out of network benefits, I have partnered with Mentaya, who can file claims on your behalf. Utilizing Mentaya to submit claims on your behalf is entirely optional and will not impact the quality or availability of the therapy services I provide. I do not benefit in any way from your decision to use Mentaya. You can use the tool below to instantly verify your out of network benefits.


Frequently Asked Questions

  • Select “schedule an appointment” to see a list of available appointment times to schedule your free consultation. Select a time that works for you. You will receive a link to join your visit before your appointment.

    During the brief consultation, we will meet by video and discuss your concerns, answer any questions you have, and review options available to best meet your needs. This may include either scheduling an intake (first appointment) with me, connecting you with other providers in the community, or additional community resources that can be helpful. I am a big fan of resources and am happy to share with you any organizations/tools/resources that I think can be helpful.

  • The first therapy session is called an intake appointment. Before your session, you’ll complete some paperwork through an online portal, including medical history and consent forms. During the intake, we’ll discuss your concerns, explore therapy options, and develop a collaborative plan to help you meet your goals. If you’re not sure what your goals are, that’s okay—we’ll figure it out together. We can continue to revisit your goals, and modify the treatment plan together as needed.

  • Generally we will meet weekly for the first four sessions to build momentum and establish a strong treatment plan with lots of tools and resources available at your disposal.

    By the 4th or 5th session, we can adjust how often we meet. Some people find it beneficial for ongoing weekly or bi-monthly sessions.

    We can also continue as bi-monthly or monthly sessions. Sometimes within 12 weeks, we’ll transition into scheduling sessions as needed, aka “tune-ups.”

  • Session Fee:

    $210 | 60 minutes

    I am in network with Aetna & Cigna.

    I also partner with Mentaya to simplify the process of submitting claims to utilize your out of network benefits.

    You are also welcome to contact your insurance company to verify your benefits. Some helpful questions to ask about your coverage (for both in-network and out of network coverage) includes:

    1. Coverage for out-of-network behavioral health services

    2. Out-of-network deductible and reimbursement rate

    3. Steps for submitting claims

    It is entirely up to you whether you would like to utilize your out of network benefits or whether you would like to utilize Mentaya to submit claims on your behalf.

  • Appointments can be cancelled or rescheduled directly through your client portal.

    Please notify me as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule. Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged the full session fee.
